I am notorious for not asking for help, for doing everything on my own, suffering through things just because I feel like I should be able to do everything on my own. Where the hell did I get that idea? Take it from me, this is a really crappy idea. Asking for help is a strength not a weakness.

I remember when I was young my grandmothers, mother and my mother’s friends all going to get their “hair done”. They didn’t necessarily get a haircut but treated themselves to a blowout, as we say now, or getting it styled and set for the week. This usually involved curlers or and curling irons and a lot of hairspray! My mom didn’t do much for herself, but she did do this and now I know why.
